To introduce myself, long story short, I'm a 30-something former yankee, a wife and a stay-at-home mom of two. In my previous life, I was a mental health therapist for children and families in our southwestern Virginia hometown. I've been home with my children for 3 years now. I'm not going to lie and say it's been a bowl of cherries since following my heart to stop working and "put my family first." It's amazing how much counseling theory goes out the window when it comes to raising your own children. I struggle every day. I love my children and my husband and I know they love me. Most days that's enough to get along!
My reason for starting this blog is to help me start to focus on all the good in my life as a mother and wife. As much as I talk a good game when giving others advice, I'm really good at dwelling on the negative in my own life. I'm hoping that as I write about all the fun I have doing this job, I'll start to believe it and start to live it. So let's get this ball rolling!
